Yet another possible application for smartphones and similar devices in the classroom. It's not just gamificaction of behaviour but it will be interesting to see how the idea develops.

TeachersPayTeachers.com – An Open Marketplace for Original Lesson Plans and Other Teaching ResourcesI wonder how long it might be until we and/or our students become engaged in this exchange whether for free or a price. I must find some time to look around and see if there is something useful for one or other of my classes and what i might be able to hawk. MindShift has a review http://mindshift.kqed.org/2011/09/teachers-cash-in-on-their-own-expertise/ that provides some insights into how TPT is going. Given it has a rating system it might be useful as evidence of 'quality'.

This appears to be another very useful resource from JISC (UK). This one is intended to support the curriculum design process with an emphasis on how to apply technology effectively. Looks like it would be useful to explore it in more depth.

Interesting to read this on the same day as Terry Anderson's new site for the equivalency theorem. This is another take on generations of DE but could apply equally in the classroom. I like the inclusion of creativity & knowledge building which fits with other material I've been reading and talking about recently but I'm not sure that the 3-ring circus (Venn diagram) is a good representation for this. What with Community of Inquity, TPACK and now this using essentially the same image of overlapping circles it could be confusing and I think that some of what Charles Graham had to say about TPACK in his C&E piece may apply here too in relation to the inadequacy of the image.

The equivalency theorem makes some sense intuitively so it would be useful to have evidence to support it as a basis for course design.

This is a useful resource from JISC (UK). It suggests that mobile learning is far enough through the hype-cycle that it is approaching the point of being widely implemented. The resource debunks some myths and provides useful advice.
