Interesting short piece on the potential role of mobile in informal and workplace learning. The 70:20:10 split is probably about right in terms of where people learn to do their jobs.

Our current Moodle implementation (1.9) does not play well with mobile – at least for forums and some other elements where the interface is awkward. We will need a mobile solution and this appears to be worth a look.

Interesting piece that confirms learning is more effective with effort (no surprise) but reports a study in which study effort was induced by setting materials in unfamiliar fonts. What might be the implication for efforts to ensure consistency among study materials, I wonder? Would the right sort of differences induce more effort and better learning?
