Communication patterns

Jon Hoem at Diablog :: has posted some comment on an interesting model for communication patterns in digital learning environments:
Information produced by center Information produced by individual users Information produced by users as a collective Distribution controlled by center Transmission Registering Commenting Distribution controlled by individual users Consultation Dialog Collaboration Distribution controlled by users as a collective Syndication Sharing Emergence The model is an extention of Bordewijk´s and Kaam´s media typology (presented in Jensen 1997) which answers two fundamental questions: Who controls the production of information? And, who controls the distribution of information?
There is food for thought here and he promises more to come on the topic.
